A 12×20 tarp gives a nominal 240 sq ft footprint for vehicles, firewood and jobsite materials. The extra two feet of width over a 10×20 format changes side drop, corner reach and tie-down geometry, so this page centers on fit rather than treating both sizes as substitutes. LonaTarp supplies the 12×20 format as a made-to-order PE finished tarp for B2B importers, distributors and project buyers. The 12×20 supply program starts at 5,000 m² per approved specification and does not include single-piece retail sales.

The same intent appears as 12 x 20 tarp, 20×12 tarp and tarp 12×20. Buyers asking for a 12×20 heavy duty tarp or 20×12 heavy duty tarp still need an approved material, seam, edge and grommet specification; wording and reversed dimensions do not create a separate product grade.

Measure Width, Height and Side Drop as One Fit Problem

The 12 ft width is often selected because a 10 ft sheet leaves too little side drop. Measure the vehicle, firewood stack or material row across the top and down both sides before fixing the final length. State whether 12×20 is the finished size after hems, and mark the 20 ft direction on drawings and labels so a 20×12 orientation does not move hardware to the wrong edge.

Select PE Grade for Stationary or Frequently Moved Covers

Stationary firewood and site materials may favor economical PE with suitable water-shedding and ventilation planning. A cover that is removed from a vehicle every day needs better foldability, edge strength and abrasion control. A 12×20 heavy duty tarp or 20×12 heavy duty tarp should be defined by weave, weight/mil, lamination, exposure and reinforcement. PE is supplied, not claimed as our core self-produced PVC fabric.

Map Grommets to the 12-Foot and 20-Foot Sides

The 12 ft and 20 ft sides do not necessarily need the same grommet treatment. Put closer or reinforced fixing points where the real tie-downs occur, then approve edge distance, corner patches and hem construction. If the cover uses heat-sealed panels, place the seam away from repeated contact with a vehicle corner or the ridge of a material stack. Show every position on a dimensioned sample drawing.

Protect Vehicle Finishes and Keep Material Stacks Draining

Protect painted vehicle surfaces with clean contact zones and padding at sharp hardware. For firewood, cover the top against rain without sealing moisture inside the stack. For jobsite material, create a slope and anchor more than the four corners. The finished cover manages weather exposure; it does not replace cargo-restraint equipment or an engineered canopy.

Approve a Fit Sample Before the 5,000 m² Production Lot

A fit sample should be placed over the intended object or a dimensioned mock-up before bulk approval. Keep photos of side drop, tie-down alignment, folded size and labels with the approved material record. The production lot can then be checked for size, seam, hardware and pack count. Quote requests should include the object dimensions, use frequency, quantity and any OEM packing requirements.

For a related 12×20 selection task, buyers can continue to firewood cover airflow and drainage guidance when that adjacent application matches.

Bulk 12×20 PE Tarp Questions and Quotation

Is 12×20 the guaranteed finished size?

The 12×20 footprint is guaranteed as full finished size only when the approved order states that rule and its tolerance. A market listing for 12×20 may otherwise use nominal or cut dimensions.

What data is needed to quote a 12×20 business order?

For this 12×20 program, send use case, finished dimensions, material/duty target, exposure, grommet plan, quantity, printing, packing and destination. MOQ is 5,000 m² per approved specification.
