Striped Tarpaulin PVC
Striped tarpaulin roll material lets awning, canopy and umbrella manufacturers specify a recognizable color pattern alongside the reinforced PVC construction their product needs. Start with the intended finished panel: its dimensions and cutting direction determine how the stripe will appear after fabrication.
The stripe design and the technical fabric specification are separate choices. Approve the color combination, stripe layout and sample identity, then confirm base fabric, coating construction, finished mass and the relevant performance requirements.

If the required design has not been fixed, compare samples side by side. Once a reference is selected, record it with the approved color standard so that later orders are not based on the pattern number alone.
Plan the stripe across seams and curved panels
For a rectangular awning or canopy, establish whether the stripes run along or across the roll and show the intended panel layout. For umbrella sectors or shaped panels, review how the cut pieces meet; a continuous roll pattern does not guarantee a continuous finished design.
Full-width sampling can reveal the repeat, usable cutting area and alignment at joins. Agree what visual mismatch is acceptable before calculating a cutting layout. A sample approval limited to one small color swatch does not define stripe placement across a complete product.
Choose the roll construction for the finished shade product
For an outdoor shade product, specify the reinforcement, coating, finished weight, width and surface together with the actual seam and mounting arrangement. Confirm the required strength, water resistance, color retention or fire-performance evidence for the proposed construction. The stripe pattern should not be used as a proxy for any of these results.
We recommend a fabrication trial with the selected design. Check seam appearance, print or color behavior around the joining area and the finished shape. A lighter roll can reduce handling mass, while a heavier one may change flexibility and the manufacturing layout; those trade-offs need sample comparison rather than a universal GSM table.
Approve the pattern and specification for repeat orders
Send the selected design number or artwork, physical color reference, stripe widths and repeat, roll direction, final panel drawing and technical material requirements. Our team can review pattern sampling and production feasibility before the bulk order is agreed.
Custom striped roll supply starts at 5,000 m². Confirm how the quantity is allocated across designs and colors, along with usable width, roll length, packing and required delivery date. Keep the signed-off stripe sample with the material specification to make repeat orders comparable.

What GSM do I need for a beach umbrella?
For portable beach umbrellas, 300-450 gsm works well — lightweight for handling, durable enough for the season. For permanent poolside umbrellas at hotels and resorts, 450-650 gsm gives better long-term durability. Tell us your application and expected service life and we recommend.
How does the mold cost credit work?
You pay for custom molds upfront — small mold ~$350, large mold ~$930. Each mold prints one color, so a 2-color design needs 2 molds. When your total orders of that pattern reach 20,000 meters (65,620 feet), we credit the full mold cost back.
Can I see a sample before bulk order?
Yes. We send A4 material samples with your chosen pattern, colors, and GSM. We recommend seeing and feeling the material — especially for hospitality applications where appearance matters.
What's the difference between using an existing mold vs. custom development?
Existing molds: no mold cost, ready to use now. We apply your colors to the existing pattern structure.
Custom development: you pay for new molds but the pattern is yours alone. We quote before we start.
How long does the material last in outdoor use?
With proper UV stabilization (our standard formulation), expect 3-5 years of service life in normal outdoor conditions. In intense sun environments (desert, tropical, high altitude), higher GSM grades and reinforced constructions extend service life. We discuss expected life based on your specific application and location.
What colors are available?
Any RAL or Pantone. Common shade structure colors include navy/white, green/white, burgundy/cream, blue/white. We also do custom brand colors for hospitality chains and commercial venues.
What is your minimum order quantity?
5,000 square meters per pattern/color/gsm combination. For large projects, one production run covers the order. Talk to us if your project is smaller — we sometimes accommodate below MOQ for long-term clients.
Can I get flame retardant material?
Yes. We offer flame retardant formulations that meet EN 13773 and NFPA 701 standards. Required for some commercial applications and certain markets — tell us if you need FR and we spec it accordingly.
