Custom PVC Slip and Slide Tarps for Brands and Distributors
A slip and slide tarp is a flat, non-inflatable PVC tarpaulin laid on prepared grass or another approved ground surface, then wetted to create a recreational sliding lane. For buyers searching for a custom water slide tarp for outdoor games, events or project use, LonaTarp develops these finished products for brands, importers, wholesalers, distributors, retail chains and project buyers. We do not sell single retail pieces or stock models. Each program is made to order, with a 5,000 m² material MOQ for every confirmed specification. Size, wet-surface finish, color, printing, edge design, water-feed concept, packaging and required test documents are agreed before sampling.
A Repeatable SKU Needs More Than a Smooth Blue Sheet
The surface must slide when wet, but that is only the first approval point. A retail or rental-channel SKU also has to unroll flat, stay dimensionally stable along a long lane, tolerate repeated folding, accept the planned print and return to the same specification in the next order. A generic tarp can look suitable in a dry photo and still fail the buyer’s program after packing, wet use or repeated handling.
When a tarpaulin for slip and slide use is developed for resale, we normally separate five decisions: lane geometry, material construction, wet-surface behavior, edge and water-feed details, and channel presentation. These decisions become the controlled drawing, material reference, artwork and packing specification used for sampling and repeat production.
| Buyer Type | What Must Be Locked Before Sampling |
|---|---|
| Outdoor-game or toy brand | Product dimensions, target user statement, artwork, warning/instruction scope, packaging and acceptance sample |
| Wholesaler or distributor | SKU range, carton quantity, labels, destination-market documents and repeat-order tolerance |
| Retail chain or bulk e-commerce seller | Barcode/label data, pack size, shelf or parcel limits, artwork version control and inspection level |
| Camp, attraction or project buyer | Site surface, lane layout, operating procedure, storage method, quantity and project-specific acceptance points |
Not sure what you need? Please let us know your slide size, site surface, target user, water setup, branding requirements and order plan. We will help you select the right slip and slide tarp solution.
Specify the Lane Around Use, Packing and Ground Conditions
A long tarp for slip and slide use cannot be quoted from length alone. Finished width affects rider clearance and material yield. Longitudinal flatness affects how water moves across the lane, while fold size affects carton dimensions, storage and crease risk.
Before quotation, the lane layout should confirm the finished size, single-lane or multi-lane concept, ground surface, slope range, water entry method, edge structure, fixing points, start zone, sliding lane, stopping area, packing fold and destination market.

Anchoring hardware, spray parts, padded sections, side features and other accessories are not treated as fixed standard parts. They are included only when the drawing, supplier scope and acceptance method are confirmed. Hard fixing components should stay outside the clear sliding path and be reviewed in the buyer’s product risk assessment and instructions.
Approve the PVC Construction and Wet Surface Together
For a PVC slip and slide, one GSM figure does not prove that the finished lane will perform consistently. Base-fabric construction, PVC formulation, coating or lamination route, coating adhesion, surface treatment, print compatibility and fold behavior all change the result. The relevant PVC tarpaulin construction should therefore be approved together with the finished-product sample.
If your brief calls for a vinyl polyester tarp for slip and slide use, do not approve it from the material name alone. We usually review tensile and tear requirements, coating adhesion, abrasion or surface-wear risk, dimensional stability, wet-surface behavior, repeated folding and the selected seam or edge process. Test methods and pass values must be written into the project specification; they cannot be inferred from the product name.
A glossy-looking surface is not automatically the right sliding surface. Surface feel can change after water, printing, cleaning agents, storage heat or repeated use. The buyer should approve a production-representative sample under the intended wet-use and cleaning conditions before bulk production.
Send a Slip and Slide Tarpaulin Brief That Can Become a Sample Plan
A useful quotation starts with the product program, not only a request for price per piece. Please send your company and sales channel, destination market, lane size, quantity or square meters, target material, wet-surface expectation, edge design, water-feed concept, printing files, packaging plan, required documents and delivery target.
As a slip and slide manufacturer, LonaTarp will review what can be quoted directly, what needs a detail or finished sample, and what depends on target-market testing or third-party components. Drawings, photos and a reference sample help us define the sampling route before quoting a private-label slip and slide tarpaulin program.
Slip and Slide Tarp FAQ for B2B Buyers
Is this product inflatable?
No. This page covers a flat slip and slide tarp that is laid directly on a prepared ground surface and wetted during use. Inflatable runways, inflatable water slides and modular water parks use different structures, fabrication methods and project requirements and are not quoted from this page.
Do you sell one tarp for personal use?
No. LonaTarp supplies made-to-order B2B programs for brands, importers, wholesalers, distributors, retail chains and project buyers. There is no single-piece retail stock. Each confirmed material specification has a 5,000 m² MOQ; finished quantity depends on the approved dimensions and SKU mix.
What GSM should a PVC slip and slide use?
There is no universal GSM. The decision depends on base fabric, PVC structure, lane size, folding frequency, surface finish, printing, edge construction, target test method and channel requirements. We recommend approving the material and a production-representative finished sample together instead of selecting by weight alone.
Can length, width, color and logo be customized?
Yes, these can be developed for a bulk project. Finished dimensions, color reference, artwork, print location, fold plan, labels and packaging must be confirmed in the controlled specification. Multi-lane layouts, water-feed parts and accessories are project-dependent rather than standard features.
What should we test before bulk production?
The test plan should follow the target market and approved construction. Common discussion points include dimensions, flatness, wet-surface acceptance, tensile/tear needs, coating adhesion, surface wear, folding, print or seam details, packing and label accuracy. Methods and pass values must be agreed; the product name alone does not establish compliance.
How is finished quantity calculated from the MOQ?
MOQ is based on material, not a universal piece count. Each different GSM, base fabric, color or required performance may be treated as a separate 5,000 m² specification. Once lane sizes and the SKU mix are approved, we calculate material yield and the corresponding finished quantity.
