8cm Wave Drop Stitch Inflatable Material

This 2700 GSM drop stitch inflatable material combines an 8 cm chamber with a visible wave surface. It is offered in 1.55 and 1.68 m widths for mattress panels and selected boat-related components where the buyer wants a directional surface rather than a standard dot appearance.

The word “wave” describes the catalog surface, not a universal promise of higher strength or pressure. Its direction must be shown on the cut drawing so adjacent panels do not arrive with inconsistent orientation.

Lock Wave Direction before Nesting the Parts

For a rectangular mattress panel, orientation may be mainly visual. For a shaped boat floor or insert, it can affect how the finished part looks after cutting and edge welding. Mark the top face, longitudinal direction and mirrored parts in the drawing.

Choose between 1.55 and 1.68 m only after adding seam overlap and trim. A slightly wider roll may remove a join, while a narrower roll may produce better yield for repeated small panels.

Separate Surface Appearance from Structural Proof

Approve the wave repeat, color and face orientation with the structural checks: finished height, dimensions, seam construction, pressure hold and pressure-loss limit. If the component touches hardware, include abrasion or contact protection in the finished design review.

For boat-related work, send the actual installation position. A floor insert, seat panel and side component do not share the same load, edge or valve requirements, even when all use an 8 cm chamber.

Is wave drop stitch stronger than dot material?

Not from the pattern name alone. Compare the complete construction and agreed test result; appearance should not be used as a strength rating.

Can the 8 cm height be changed after coating?

No. Spacer length establishes the chamber height, so the required thickness must be selected before production.

What information is needed for a boat component?

Provide the part drawing, installation location, contact points, pressure target, seam plan, valve position and quantity.

Can we approve one roll before the full order?

A representative sample is recommended. Standard bulk supply begins at 5,000 m² after the material and finished-component checks are accepted.
