3D embossed tarpaulin is a PVC-coated fabric with a raised surface texture bonded to the base material through a high-temperature embossing process. Unlike smooth PVC sheeting, the embossed pattern creates a dimensional surface that adds structural benefits — grip, reinforcement, and visual distinction — while maintaining the full waterproof, UV-resistant, and durable properties of standard PVC tarpaulin.
In our production, we run embossed patterns at 320°C with calibrated pressure rollers to ensure the relief bonds evenly across the entire roll width without delaminating. I've seen a lot of embossed material come out of factories where the pattern peels or cracks within a season — that's usually a cold-press or low-quality coating adhesion issue. Ours is built for multi-year outdoor use.
Common Applications by Pattern
Diamond is the workhorse — truck covers, cargo side curtains, equipment enclosures. The cross-hatch relief adds flex resistance so the material doesn't crack at fold points under repeated tension.
Stripe and Dot are selected where anti-slip surface is required — walkways, ramps, work platforms. The raised profile bites into footwear and wet conditions better than any textured paint.
Hex and Wave-Lock show up frequently in architectural membrane projects — canopies, facade cladding, tensile structures. The geometric patterns distribute stress evenly across the surface, which extends the membrane's service life under wind load.
Carbon and Leather are chosen for branding, automotive, and consumer-facing applications where the product is visually exposed. The premium texture adds perceived quality without sacrificing performance.
We typically ship within 15 days of order confirmation. MOQ starts at 5,000㎡ for custom specifications. Sample rolls are available for quality verification before bulk orders.
